Serengeti Sunglasses Overview

I wonder if becoming an ambassador for a designer sunglasses company is considered a real coup by celebrities or if it is something they do on their way up or down the ladder of fame. In any case, here are a few Serengeti ambassadors past and present, none of which are now or have ever been HUGE stars:

- Luke Perry 2004
- Val Kilmer 2005
- Peta Wilson 2006
- Patrick Dempsey 2007
- Alain Prost 2008
- James Denton 2009

Serengeti's are just one of a multitude of optical products manufactured by Bushnell Performance Optics, so one can assume they are experts in the field. And they are not all that pricey compared to other designer sunglasses (e.g. Tiffany offers a pair of diamond-studded glasses for almost £700), with a lot of models coming in at under £65.

Reviews of Serengeti sunglasses are uniformly good, and there is at least one blog dedicated to them. Most reviewer praise their comfort and the fact that you just forget that you even have them on, especially the ones with rimless frames.

Serengeti makes sunglasses to serve different purposes. They have lines for pilots, motorists, skiers, and presumably people who don't necessarily do any of those things but want to look cool and protect their eyes. Their Pilot line is advertised as the most scientifically advanced sunglasses in the world. And like many other designer sunglasses firms, Serengeti makes a line of prescription sunglasses.
